Once participants have identification, they can get equipped with other essential items that make living in the U.S. easier.
These items, such as a rental car and cell phone, will help participants move around campus easier and keep in touch with VIPP staff, other participants and family and friends both here and back home.
- Purchase a Car
Participants who are visiting the U.S. for a longer period of time may choose to purchase a car while here. To find local car listings, including lists of automobiles for sale in every price range, visit the Lansing State Journal Car Purchasing Source Web site.
- Rent a Car
Participants, especially those who are visiting the U.S. for shorter periods of time, may be interested in renting a car. For lists of several car rental locations around the Lansing area, visit the Enterprise Car Rental Web site.
- Sign up for a Wireless/Cell Phone
Some participants may choose to sign up for cell phone service while staying in the U.S. Owning a cell phone allows participants to stay in contact with friends and family back home as well as remain in close contact with VIPP staff, participants and friends and family in the area. The following cell phone providers can help participants find a cell phone plan that is right for them.
