Specialized Global Professional Education Program (SGPEP)
VIPP offers the Special Global Professional Education Program (SGPEP) for government agencies, education institutions, and other private and public professional entities interested in a customized program for a group of employees. SGPEP can be designed to fit the unique needs of individual sponsoring agencies in terms of length, content, format, and schedule.
In general the program consists of American language and culture courses, special lectures and seminars, relevant academic courses, professional field studies and meetings, and an opportunity to conduct individual research. The length of the program varies ranging from two months to a couple years.
Since 1991, hundreds of government officials and other professionals have had valudable opportunities to enhance their professional knowledge and experiences while gaining experiences in engaging in cross-cultural communication with experts and professionals in the US through SGPEP. Some examples of current and past SGPEPs include Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority, Beijing Teachers Training Center for Higher Education, Korea National Housing and Land Corporations, and Seoul Metropolitan Government.
