The Global Professional Education Program (GPEP) is best suited to early or mid-career professionals in any field who want to elevate their careers.
For a period of three months to one year, participants may take VIPP classes, special lectures and seminars, conduct independent research, and participate in many cultural events. VIPP course offerings include Communication Skills, Business English, Public Speaking, American Culture and Society, Current Affairs, Organizational Development, etc.
In addition to courses, GPEP offers a series of guest seminars and lectures and local field trips. Popular destinations include the Michigan Capitol, Michigan Supreme Court Learning Center, Library of Michigan, local schools, and Fenner Nature Center.
Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive a Global Professional Certificate.

Participant may be funded by individual or sponsoring organization.
J-1 non-degree student visa
If your study is supported by someone other than yourself (your company, government, or other external agency) and their support is more than 51 percent of your funding, you are eligible for a J-1 non-degree student visa.
Our GPEP fee structure includes academic service as well as logistics support.
Due to the individuality nature of VIPP Program, precise fee for each participant may be different based on the number of courses and the type of courses taken (whether VIPP courses, English Language Center courses, regular MSU courses or specialized courses including lab based work and field trips), and the length of your stay.
