The Global Professional Education Program (GPEP) is best suited to early or mid-career professionals in any field who want to elevate their careers.
For three months to one year, participants may take VIPP classes, attend special lectures and seminars, conduct independent research, and participate in many cultural events. VIPP course offerings include Communication Skills, Business English, Public Speaking, American Culture and Society, Current Affairs, Organizational Development, etc.
In addition to courses, GPEP offers a series of guest seminars and lectures, and local field trips. Popular destinations include the Michigan Capital, Michigan Supreme Court Learning Center, Library of Michigan, local schools, and Fenner Nature Center.
Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive a Global Professional Certificate.
Fees (2020-2021)
Application fee: $150 (non-refundable)
Dependent fee: $800 (for each dependent under the age of 21, payable upon arrival)
Program fees:
12 months: $9,000
6 months: $6,500
3 months: $4,800
Due to the individual nature of VIPP Programs, the precise fee for each participant may be different based on the number of courses and the type of courses taken (whether VIPP courses, English Language Center courses, regular MSU courses, or specialized courses including lab-based work and field trips), and the length of your stay.
